Acceptance of Terms

By using Concise, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app or this website.

App Purpose

Concise is a writing clarity editor. Its deterministic clarity analysis runs on device. Optional Concise AI tools use user-initiated cloud processing to provide reviews, rewrites, explanations, summaries, tone feedback, document questions, and related assistance.

Feedback Is Informational

Concise gives writing clarity suggestions and readability signals. It does not guarantee grammar correctness, publication quality, academic outcomes, legal compliance, professional editing results, or any specific writing outcome.

AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate. It is not educational, legal, medical, financial, or professional certification or advice. You are responsible for reviewing suggestions, checking facts, and deciding what to change.

Your Writing

You are responsible for the text you enter, edit, copy, save, or share using Concise.

Do not use Concise in a way that violates laws, other people's rights, school or workplace rules, or app store policies.

Local Data

Concise may store drafts, organization metadata, version history, preferences, and AI result history locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups of any writing you need to preserve outside the app.

Ending a subscription does not delete documents, imported files, applied edits, local organization metadata, versions, or prior local AI results, but subscription-only controls and new AI requests become unavailable unless another qualifying entitlement remains active.

Concise Pro Lifetime Purchase

Concise Pro Lifetime is an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks the on-device Pro features offered in the applicable app build. It is not a subscription, has no trial, and does not renew.

The purchase is tied to the Apple App Store or Google Play account used to buy it and may be restored through that same store account on supported devices. Apple and Google ownership do not transfer between stores because Concise has no cross-store account system.

Billing, taxes, refunds, and payment disputes are handled by the store through which you purchased. Restored access depends on the store and RevenueCat entitlement services being available.

The purchase includes all future on-device Pro features that are made available for the supported product. It does not promise access to future AI, cloud, recurring-service, or separately offered products.

Concise Pro+ Subscription

Concise Pro+ is an optional auto-renewable subscription with weekly, monthly, and yearly plans. While active, it unlocks local Pro tools and cloud AI features. Each plan provides the same feature access and differs by billing period and store price.

The store presents the localized price and period before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled under the store's rules, and you can manage or cancel it through the applicable store account. No free trial or introductory offer is promised unless the store purchase sheet expressly displays one.

Pro+ AI access is subject to a rolling fair-use quota measured in quota units. Different actions may use different numbers of units. Rejected or provider-failed requests are not intended to consume units permanently. Quota amounts, action costs, model routing, feature availability, and reasonable technical limits may change to protect service quality, safety, and cost.

If Pro+ expires, new AI requests and subscription-only local Pro controls lock. A separate Concise Pro Lifetime purchase remains permanent and is not weakened or cancelled by starting or ending Pro+.

Concise AI and Cloud Processing

Concise sends selected writing to its Firebase/Google Cloud backend and OpenAI only after your explicit request. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit that text.

Concise does not promise that cloud features will always be available, immediate, or compatible with every document. Requests may be rejected for size, quota, entitlement, security, safety, network, or service reasons. Concise may change or disable models and cloud features when necessary.

You may not use Concise AI to violate law, infringe rights, distribute malware, evade safeguards, abuse the service, automate excessive requests, or submit content you are not authorized to process.

Analytics, Security, and Service Metadata

Concise may use privacy-safe analytics, sanitized crash reporting, anonymous authentication, App Check, and content-free quota and entitlement metadata as described in the Privacy Policy. Writing content must not be placed in analytics or crash reporting.

You may disable anonymous usage analytics in Settings. Security, purchase verification, quota integrity, and essential operational processing may still occur where needed to provide the service.

Intellectual Property

Concise, the app icon, website design, text, branding, and related materials are owned by App Factory Labs or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them except as allowed by law.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Concise, its local analysis, and its AI services are provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, secure against every threat, or suitable for every writing purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, App Factory Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of Concise, the website, or writing decisions made from app feedback.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as Concise changes. Continued use of Concise after updates means you accept the revised terms.
